New Blog to Inspire Individuals to feel Empowered Enabled and at Liberty to Thrive.
As some of you know but many of dont. I have just spent the last ten months being accussed of being mentally ill, of bad parenting, emotional abuse and of fabricating and inducing my eldest daughters medical challenges and Special Educational Needs.
I have spent three months under the threat of court and of have my children removed from my care, all because the Local Authority were not working with her medical professionals.
I was unofficially cleared in December right after the LA finally spooke with her Consultant (Ten months after this started) which is wonderful but will not be officially cleared until March because of “time frames.” Grrrr
None of this has actually supported my child and her needs or us as a family. Its been extremely difficult! And I am trying to hang on to the positives of how much I have grown as a person.
However there have been some truely low and unpleasent points and I want to thank my friends and family for their support.
Now I am training as a Special Educational Needs and Disability Advocate, funnily enough!
Yesterday I informed the professionals that I intend to Home Educate my daughter as an experiment to see if I can support her anxiety to reduce and her quality of life, her access to education and over all happiness to increase.
Today I get to talk with them about my plans and Monday I have to defend my choices to a core group of professionals (all by myself,) although this was largely the schools ideas so at least they should back me up.
